On the evening of 28 June, the 2024 China AI Gala (《2024 中国・AI 盛典》), billed as China's first national technology gala centred on AI, premiered on CCTV-1, the CCTV Video app and CCTV.com. It was jointly hosted by China Media Group, the Cyberspace Administration of China and the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, and produced by CMG's CCTV Video and its Guangdong station together with the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government.
7D Vision's AR technology blended starry skies, pandas, flowers and other virtual assets with the physical stage in real time. Performers interacted with the virtual elements, creating hyper-real, immersive scenes. AR playback was driven entirely by timecode and synchronised with the venue's audio and lighting, so the virtual elements appeared on cue with the music. This delivered the visual effect while greatly improving efficiency and streamlining the show's workflow.
